[UK] options for monitored alarm

Looking to install an alarm system that is monitored and has police dispatch or response. So far looked at ADT, Verisure and Simplisafe. Simplisafe seems appealing as you can turn off/ok monitoring based on which months you need it. Any other suggestions? Verisure and ADT are both around £48-50 monthly with long contracts.

Not really, more for monitoring when we go out of the country.

Can’t see simply safe or versure giving you police response ….as far as I know neither are NACOSS or SSIB

Yes from what i know they are police dispatch rather than response. unsure how much of a difference that makes.

Check police response versus key holders there is a significant difference on how they both work and costs involved.

Yes but they do so proactively when sensors are triggered?

What do you want the system to do when your away.?

I want the system to be able to trigger a call to police or guard response if there is a break in while away. It should *hopefully* give the intruders less time to be in the property and they know that a response team is notified/on the way.

Hard to say without knowing specifics but not sure what you need.

Contact nsi or ssaib registered firms with your requirements and get some quotes.

If it's only for while your on holiday, I wonder if a neighbour could be suitably bribed to keep an eye on the place and call the police if the alarm goes off. Not that they would come out either way.
