Unifi6 Lite wont connect for initial set up

I hope this is the correct section to post in.

I am trying to set up my Unifi6 AP. I have connected it to my switch and it powers up. After a rest it flashes blue then white then solid white as i understand it should.

I then connect ia the Unifi app. It doesnt recognise the AP automatically so i have to add manually. I scan the QR code and it starts to connect. Most times it then just fails. It has a few times recognised it and tried to set up a local network but then continues and fails.

I have seen this issue online on a number of sites but with no resolution.

I believe these units are now very common so i am hoping someone will know how to resolve this issue.

Is this a new device or second-hand?

Have you defaulted the device?

Are you powering with a POE switch and is the POE switch if used capable of delivering the power it needs?

Seen a lot of second-hand devices on a market place that dont appear to work properly and some are not recoverable.
