Updating Telephone

I am still using a Telephone which has not LED screen so I cannot see who is calling or any missed calls.

I would like to update my Telephone to see the numbers of all the missed calls I have received when I am out but would still like a corded phone and do not want an answer machine.

I would also like to bar anyone with a with held number from calling.
Can anyone recommend a Telephone with all these facilities?

both caller display and annon call barring are avalable from your service provider but at a cost of £3 to £5 a month or there abouts!!!

BT Privacy At Home is a free option on BT domestic lines. It gives you caller display and signs you up to the TPS.

Of course you need a compatible display phone to see the numbers.

I telephoned BT and signed up for "Privacy at home" which is free.

I am looking for a new telephone to buy that has a screen to show who is calling but I understand I wont be able to bar with held numbers unless I pay £3.91 a month to BT.

I was hoping the new telephone could do that

i think you will find no phone can bar any number, its all done by your phone company
