It's curious that the Pope and the Archbishop says there are churches and Christians in Gaza, and the Israeli spokeswoman says there aren't.

What's your game eh?Can you have something back if it was never yours? That seems illogical. The purpose of my question was to establish whether it was ever actually Christian, and if so for how long and when.
It was majority orthodox Christian until recent years, now it's majority Muslim. It's always been a mixed bag rather like Jerusalem.
