Using a dimmer switch on a wall light

It will go "pop" and probably the bulb will explode.

It might possibly catch fire.

It will definitely not work.

I see no point in continuing this discussion.

ok . then, you ve got to admit i tried me hardest for someone to say yes it would work but not one .So ive finally got the message and the missus can relax as it would have been over her bed for reading!!!hahahaaha thanks all 4 replys.
