Hi
I bought an Erbauer Electric Plane for my husband to plane down a few doors (bottoms).

First door, triming off 8mm. He did it in 2mm increments. Great job.

Next door, he had to trim 20mm. He did it in 4 mm increments but when finished the bottom wasn't flat, but it was slanted.

Does this mean he didn't put even pressure on the plane?

What can we do to avoid this happening again please.

Many thanks
Georgie

Mark out the amount to remove and check level after each pass correcting as required. For 20mm removal easier to cut off 15mm with saw and tidy whats left.I don't usually remove more than 2mm at a time.Cheap plane like that may also be set up with the blade out of true.

Thank you. That all makes sense.
