This thread reminds me of a video in the one that was closed. Some youtube noise maker making a meal about the proportion of vaccinated people actually in hospital.

If he wasn't an idiot he would know why the figures are as they are and may well be aware anyway. It's pretty simple really. Does the vaccine prevent all people from finishing up in hospital - no. Is that still age and condition related - yes. If high proportions of people have been vaccinated especially the ages at most risk what an earth does he expect. They are highly likely to have been vaccinated so there will be more of them. The silly burk claims it means it's ~50% effective. It's clear that if the unvaccinated ones had taken the jab their would be less of them in.

Then cases falling. Rather strange that positive test result number look rather different. Falling yes but the shift isn't really significant as more will have no symptoms at all and some wont bother getting tested. Just using cases is all news media being a bit stupid but some have mentioned the positive aspect which is more important.

Notice the difference on that area compared with last wave. So yes some idiots may think vaccination has no effect. Pillar one testing is just done in hospital. The positive results against age do not look much different to how they usually do.

Hospital entry rates are similar in that respect. Early days. ICU cases increasing as would be expected as people don't usually go straight to that.

Passports may be forced on people. Depends if doing that would improve covid problems. I mean all speed limits could be advisory and not murdering people or getting up to a number of other things could be as well. Even drink driving. Nightclub's reactions to freedom day encourage passports and many businesses may decide to insist anyway as it make sense for them to do just that. It wouldn't be a problem for rather a lot of people and would also reassure plenty of them. Probably more and more as time goes on.

How long does immunity last - the 2nd infection numbers are climbing each time they are reported. No info on what it means to people who do catch it again.
