My new (smallish) house has a Vaillant 415 boiler which serves seven radiators and a hot water cylinder using 8mm microbore and Y-Plan, with a bypass valve.
As the rads have a total rated output of no more than 7.5kW I am proposing to reduce the boiler output to 10kW via d.0, and cut the bypass flow to the required minimum, so as to get maximum flow through the rads.
The manual shows the minimum 415 boiler flow as being 10.8l/min but I presume that this relates to the maximum boiler output of 15kW and that I can reduce it by one third to 7.2l/min when I reduce the boiler output to 10kW. Am I right in making this assumption or have I missed a critical issue?
Any guidance much appreciated. I thought I understood boilers, and then I acquired a Vaillant...
