Have you cleaned it as I suggested?

Exactly what did you do? How much of which chemical did you use?

What was the effluent like?

Effluent is something that runs out, the spent chemical in the case of cleaning boilers! The colour and acidity indicates to me the progress of my cleaning.

ok i am a muppet, i am not gona get very far with a leaky PRV......

probably why it took so long and didnt make as much difference.

I gona sort that out first then do it all over and write down what i do, incase it dont work!
