Hi . first time on here. ....I'm installing a solid fuel gravity hot water system (no rads). On the hot water cylinder the vent must be horizontal (rising slightly) for 450 mm before it rises to the cwsc, to prevent internal eddy currents in the vent pipe (parasitic cooling I think its called. ...or something like that). But regarding the vent on top of the flow pipe from the solid fuel heater (a Rayburn actually) that feeds the cylinder-coil, should that also travel horizontally for a certain distance or should it travel upwards immediately from the top of the flow pipe?
Thanks for your expertise.
