Veritas R8 alarm two tone beep fault

Sounds power related.
How old is the replacement battery you found?,that could be faulty. Testing with multimeter does not prove if battery is ok.

Not that old. Within the last 12 months.

How do I access that? I have codes to get into it

It is in the manual, i would use the engineers mode, but 41-47 are the basic event logs and pressing omit whilst in each will provide additional information.

Entered event log and have zone 1 flashing and zone 4 on ?

Zone 1 is the pir in the entrance hall by the keypad

Are you sure you haven’t turned chime on another zone or you have a faulty contact making it chime ? Turn off chime and see if you still get the noise

Not turned chime on.

I have a contact on the back door but the system is unset? It's as if the panel is resetting itself

Chime works on unset ….
Press the musical note …a chime noise says it’s on
A error noise says it’s off

Ah perhaps pressed chime by accident when setting the alarm recently. Seems odd. Will chime sound if any pir is triggered in the house?

Depends on what chime was programmed on originally…..let’s just see if it does it now ….everything is a guess unless your there yourself

I just went into programming and selected 55
All the zones are lit up
