It was never about a refund and I haven't suggested that in any of my posts. More about the long term relationship and trust you build with your tradesmen.

I believe you expressed the view I was being overcharged and appreciate the input.

As bunnyman said good tradesmen choose their people and if I am not mistaken, it is those people who recommend them to new jobs. For what it's worth I was planning to recommend my plumber to the neighbours who are having an extension done with lots of plumbing work...

Anyway we can all go have our Sunday roast now

I wonder how much further my post is going to be denigrated for daring to check on the quantifiable element involving a plumber's service. Is this a DIY forum or a plumber's club

One of the dangers coming on here Mas; a lot of threads lose the point of the original post, don't worry about it. At the end of the day, I suspect you've learnt to check what's going to be done, and what you'll get charged for, and that'll make for a good relationship with whomever you get to do the servicing in future.
