Voting weighted by age so young people have more say

You are all going off on a tandem; I didn't mean pensions - although, imagine reaching pension age, having paid your 50 years in, the voting system changes and some 22 year old dope legalisers vote it off you! They will get old too.

Then there's the scandal of those old people who have to sell their homes to pay for their old age care - whilst chain migrants bring their old grannies into the country to immediate free housing and payments, having never put a penny into the country!

You couldn't make it up.

But you said a majority of the countries welfare payments?
Surely you realise that goes on pensions? Maybe do a bit of research boyo before spouting off lies. You meant to say 'tiny percentage' rather than majority.(y)

You can come up with all sorts of reasons why different groups should have a bigger or smaller vote. Tax contributions, education, level, nationality, convictions etc.. We already struggle to make each vote worth the same with the current system.

If Brown or Lawson, or whoever it was, hadn't raided the pension pots many years ago maybe they wouldn't have to prop them up.
So many of us paid into good pension schemes only to see them wiped out overnight because the government could manage their finances and pension pots suddenly looked an easy target to rob, (I mean tax heavily).

While we're at it, let us all have the first 50 or so years of our lives for leisure, and make the old work.
After all, we'll be too fooked (or dead) to properly enjoy our free time. (y)

Why is that a scandal?

Why shouldn't you pay to live in a home if you can afford it?

If you were living at home you would have to pay.

Do you think that estates should be passed on as an inheritance?

The democratic principle of "one person, one vote" is fundamentally flawed. The way Baby Boomers and beyond are voting the world over is evidence that old solutions often aren't adept at tackling new problems. Old people keep gutting the future of young people. And it has to stop.
At what age does young become old

What about 2 votes for thin ppl,,1 for fatties...
2 for good looking ppl,,1 for ugly.
Tats,,,0 votes...Uneducated,unemployed,0 votes,,,gay,,0.5 vote.....Smoker or vapor 0.1 vote.disabled..no vote.degree....5 votes..manual labourer...1 vote...unskilled,,,1 vote..semi skilled..1.5 vote...yes,,,what a fantastic system that would be.

How about on your ballot you have to answer three out of five questions correctly to validate your ballot- the questions cover facts about the economy and policy- shouldn't you make an informed choice?

Questions could be about the actual levels of immigration, spending, national budget etc.

Who is a afraid of an informed public?
