Oh I agree - just like you can no longer find proper bakers, butchers, fishmongers etc.

Actually we have two independent butchers in our nearby town, and a fishmonger. I think the baker is part of a chain though. I don't know how they hang on, but there are obviously still enough people wanting better quality stuff. And it's not as if supermarkets are cheaper. I think the fact that we have easy car parking in the main street probably helps.
