Was she right?

I think she was right. A bloke wouldn't do it but if the entire block had gone up (I know it wouldn't but she thought it might) then what's wrong with getting the Firemen out of bed? Yeah I know they've got a hard days decorating the next day but that's life.

Well have you seen the price plumbers are charging in london

Anyway shouldn't this be in the gas/heating forum. Poor moderation I'd say

It's a bit worrying that some of our elected representatives have so little common sense.

called 999 and the Fire Brigade, moved the car out the drive, put one daughter and dog in the car and the other daughter ran back in to turn off heating and hot water - which did stop the noise. We waited. Within a couple of minutes the firefighters arrived - checked everything - said it was a hammer airlock (probably) and that we had done the right thing. As another firefighter came up the path - he said - hello, I lobbied you in Parliament last week. And so he had! Small world.

the muppet nation strikes again

Somehow if she was my MP I would have lost all faith in her abilities.

It does not take too many brain cells to realise that you ought to turn the boiler off at the supply and turn the gas off.

I'm sure the little old lady & her grandchildren that burnt to death because the firemen were servicing an old boiler is really happy about it too :D :D

If it is the case that Ms Featherstone's action was wasteful of taxpayers' money, then it is reassuring indeed to see Brian Coleman draw attention to such wanton profligacy. I wonder, though, if there is any connection with the GLA politiican who regularly runs up taxi bills of £8,000 per year? What was that chaps name now? Er, ...Brian Coleman?

Its heartening to know the muppet nation is being lead and shown example, by worthy, Right Honourables.

Im sure we all feel safer in our beds, knowing when we have an emergency the fire brigade could be otherwise engaged.
