Hi.

We had a blocked toilet on a recently installed new bathroom and I've been out to look at the soil pipe.

It had overflowed into the gutter. I could see that the blockage was sitting on a waste pipe that spans almost the entire width of the soil pipe. It was effectively forming a shelf for everything to get stuck on.

Surely this is wrong and the waste pipe should only stick out a little bit, if at all, inside the soil pipe?

Thanks

TG

Is the toilet waste pipe, above the other waste pipe, or belowit? If it's below, then you have an obstruction lower down as well.
