Watch out, Rachel from accounts has got her pen and paper out.

I always saw the UK as a good place to hire, until the NI employers hike and the zero day employment rights changes.

Can't see how the Heathrow expansion will create jobs and prosperity for Labour's grass roots. But it wont happen for at least 10 years.

She was on the radio this morning

Apparently that HS 20 caper

At the time they spent a 100£ million on a bat tunnel ( conservation )

She basically said in future fck the bats / newts etc

She has a point

100 million squid ffs

Why will it not create jobs?

it will for people living in the surrounding area plus a lot of disruption for at least 5-8 years. Those aren't typically Labour seats. I'm surprised they aren't proposing to nationalise it as part of the deal. It's about 85% foreign owned.

It will but not for at least 10 years when spades get in the ground AND then it’s 10 - 15 years until it’s operational

The same can be said for the additional Thames crossing

Good for business, you mean?
Your job can be here or it can be in another country, perhaps a lower cost one. How open to travel are you? How much tax will you pay the UK if you move? maybe its easier to just hire there instead.

You think only locals will be working there? Have you ever been on major construction site?

I ask because, according to Badenough, Labour have stolen Tory policies.
But also says that "Labour's policies" are "bad for growth".

Recently, Badenough apologised (almost) for the last 14 years.
If they had all of these great policies then, why did they not put any of them into practice?

The 1922 Committee must be wondering where to dredge the next ex-leader from..............

If it is anything like HS2, there'll be lots of jobs digging holes to fill with concrete, then years' more work packing down the sites afterwards.

Give it five years after that and, apart from a few grass and weed covered bumps, and some random bends in the road for no apparent reason, there will be little trace of what "we" spaffed £100 billion on.........................

It will create jobs now because business will have certainty in the infrastructure projects planned. That certainty creates confidence and investment flows from that. The only certainty they had under the toreys was the short life span of the leader at any given point in time. It's sad that Rachel is being attacked by the right because they think she's only doing this to look good on her cv.

Loads of businesses moved from U.K. to mainland Europe to stay inside Single Market……it didn’t bother them that employment law is tougher in those EU countries they went to

It’s just easier to run a business there without all the Brexit red tape
