When Princess Di died, I wanted to burn the gutter press in front of the media, very much like the way in which the pastor in the US wants to burn the Koran. The difference is that I felt that my thoughts then were rational, whereas the pastors are, to my mind at least, not. Over the Rooney affair, I again feel that the gutter press are overstepping the line.
