I know old Joe has memory problems, but aren't these documents usually stamped Classified in big black letters.
If he kept forgetting the rules, what about his staff, didn't they inform him that he was breaking the rules.
He must have known that the documents were classified when he first brought them home.
Sleepy Joe had classified documents in his possession for years at 3 different locations.
Then all of a sudden when the heat is on, he suddenly became aware that all this stuff he was hoarding was not supposed to be there.

It's a matter of record that Biden had classified documents at home or various other locations. It's a matter of record Clinton used various personal servers to email classified information, and her lawyers deleted tens of thousands of emails.

I don't think he personally took them anywhere. From what I've now read, various staff members boxed them up by mistake when his term as VP finished, and they ended up in storage in various locations and they've just been forgotten about. As soon as they were discovered again, they were reported and returned. I hadn't realised that he is still being investigated by a Special Prosecutor, so it's not true to claim that he has been cleared. I'm going to wait for their findings.
Clinton's emails included four that were marked as classified. Wrongly marked as classified it turns out. She cooperated, it was accidental and minor and no charges were warranted.
Biden did have documents from his Senate time, which is entirely legal but none were classified, he allowed the FBI full access to them twice. He didn't get recorded showing kid rock nuclear war plans whilst describing how they were classified and he shouldn't be doing it. Biden cooperated, no charges were warranted.
Trump had classified documents he'd deliberately taken, hidden, lied about having, shown to random guests at mar a Lago, stored in a toilet, instructed others to lie about and may still have some even now as there are additional documents that still haven't been tracked down.

Prosecutors considered having the trial moved to somewhere more neutral (instead of Trump country) but figured it would just provide Trump with another opportunity to delay. Regardless, prosecutors feel their case is strong enough to proceed in any court, and waived their right to have the trial moved.

All have been heavily investigated/scrutinised by both the law enforcement and by the opposition parties and (whilst Republicans had Barr controlling the Justice Department), came up with ZERO criminal wrongdoing.

One was found to have broken some important and prosecutable laws, as laid out by the Grand Jury. The other yielded theirs as soon as it was made apparent. Trump couldn't, because he's sold some.
