What are you having for breakfast?

Roast chicken and roast potatoes, parsnips and green beans. Washed down with a Thatchers.
You worked a nightshift?
It always felt odd eating a dinner at 8a.m and a bowl of cinnamon crunch at 4p.m - at this time of year the sun is just a memory.

Veggie breakfast this morning. Eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes, lettuce and banana. Oh, and I took the time to thaw out some butter for my toast. :giggle:

Much as I love a breakfast, I have never been able to face eating one soon after getting up. It was just a slice of toast and a rather nice marmalade for me. The marmalade is that nice, I have been trying to remember where I bought it, so I could stock up with some more.

Same here but I got up at 5.30 this morning and had this just after 8.00. I normally don’t have breakfast until I get back from my morning dog walk but I wasn’t walking until 9.30 this morning which would have meant breakfasting around 11.00 by the time I got back. Marmalade. I haven’t had that for ages - I’ve just added it to this weeks shopping list. I like the extra thick cut marmalade.

Mrs Mottie reminded me of one that we both liked when we were on holiday a while ago so I’ve gone with that.

Same here. If it's a full English, having it for brunch around 11ish is the way to go. Covers two meal then, so not so unhealthy. Problem I have with eating lots early morning is worst on hols at a hotel. They want you out the dining room by 10am. Some of the breakfast buffet spreads are magnificent, and it's rude not to take full advantage. And one want's to get one's money's worth. ;)

Yep. When I’m in a hotel it’s tea and orange juice to start. Then cereal - muesli and yoghurt. Then full English. Then continental with meat and cheese. Then pastries - must have croissants with honey. Maybe take a bit of fruit on my way out. Of course, I then need a good shît before going out for the day! :ROFLMAO:

Mrs Mottie will have a bit of cereal and a slice of toast. Annoys me when you’re paying up to £20 a person for breakfast in a decent hotel - I think she does it to make a point.

In that case I think you would be justified in asking for a doggy bag. ;)

Even worse though if you over indulge the night before - and can't even face breakfast.

Breakfast lite this morning having crept into the 17st section on our bathroom scales. That’s a personal best that I’m not proud of!

A pot of strong coffee and a couple of slices of orange and ginger marmalade from the land of the scoundrel. I’m bloody starving!
