I broke them trying to snap an electrical screw that was stuck, and learnt my lesson.

They are a mates and would rather replace without telling him.

The logo on the side says 'M'. Any ideas?

Been a productive week anyway, besides the pliars of course. Nearing the end of brand new 16 socket installation.

Good stuff, I keep getting rained off my project. What are your sockets for you or a job?

My place. Re-ran the lounge and one bedroom on one circuit and did the hallway and kitchen on another ring. Insulating between the joists as well which is the worst part of the whole project =/

unusual choice of grouping, is it a bungalow? I have solid floors but was thinking about insulating between joists upstairs when I rewire my house as the ceilings will be coming out. Not sure how much better it will make it though what do you think?

It made sense to include the hallway because it's on the way to the kitchen lol. There's only two doubles in the hallway. At present one bedroom, lounge and kitchen are all on one ring with lots of funny spurs, so that needed changing.

As for insulation I went with the rockwall flexi, it does definitely make a big difference, you will notice. The trouble is here I have 18mm hardwood t&g secret nailed in, and only a 70mm void, the joists are also bedded in places with cement to stop twisting, but it stops me from getting insulation down past them when I push it through the void, so I'm having to pull a lot of boards to get in there. If you can do it, do it.

I will do it then, if nothing else it should stop a lot of the sound transfer around the house.

Is this insulation between upstairs and downstairs? I can see the point of insulating between inside and (effectively) outside zones, but two internal zones at more or less the same temperature it will do nothing.
