What does..........

In the context of the programme, I say that "deceptively small" means "doesn't look like much but it's a lot of calories".

Thanks for that, I agree that sounds a very likely explanation as it could be understood in many ways

This thread was just a simple question guys and it took a well documented non-liked member to answer it as oppose to flaming fat people or classing this thread as a forum junk

But I do agree this forum lacks in consistency regarding topics diversifying

I genuinely have no idea what the thread was about or even what a 'cheese panini' is.

Wouldn't speak to one if I did.

A cheese panino (singular) is a bread roll. Sometimes used loosely to refer to a stuffed roll (more or less, a sandwich)

Some cheese panini (plural)

Panino is correct in Italian, however Panini is acceptable in English AFAIK. And two or more could be paninis in English.

It'a a bit confusing when I hear them advertising paninis on the radio, I always shout back at it (IT'S PANINO)!
Pane = bread.
Panino = little bread. (A little loaf)
Panini = more than one little bread loaf.
Buon appe.

Grazie ;)

I have the same bugbear about words like Ibiza, it's either eebeetha (approximate Spanish pronunciation, or Eye-beeza or eebeeza in English, never Eyebeetha)
