You seem to be extremely unhappy!
I haven't written anything that could give you any indication of my emotional state.
Can you not discuss a serious subject without it having to involve emotions, guessing what they might be, and using childish words like "happy"?
A massive number of people in this country are being medicated for anxiety and depression (~25%) - and they're just the ones who were in such a state that they sought out medical help, many are more borderline, and are drinking heavily or using recreational drugs. I don't think the Japanese are being medicated on the same level, or abusing drugs and alcohol to cope on anywhere near the same level.
We have to consider what is different about this country now compared to points in time in the past, including the recent past, look beyond our shores for examples of how to be as a society, and figure out where we are going wrong.
Focusing on political parties: waste of time. They're all crap and essentially the same. Uniparty.
Focusing on specific politicians: e.g I don't like Boris. Waste of time. They are all freaks, what do you expect?
Focusing on one or two issues and missing the other 50: waste of time.
Focusing on what the TV or Netflix productions tell us: propaganda for the current regime, waste of time.
So what has changed and why are things getting worse for the average person? Worse access to dentistry and health service, worse standard of living, more fear of crime, less trust and sense of community, more fear about the future - including fear that the world will boil us all alive, less people having families... amongst other issues. There we might find the answers with grown up and honest conversation.
There is certainly a lot that was better in the 1950s when we consider the things that really matter. Some things that are better now. "Happy" medium?
