What have you been doing today?

I spent until 1030 watching my youngest play rugby for the school.

Then he got hit by a very high tackle. So high it was head to head contact and the other kid got a red card.

My lad split and broke his nose, so I was in the nearest A and E for nearly 7 hours.

There was a lot of claret, some exposed bone along with concussion, nausea, dizziness and shock.

Not great.

Blimey!!!! That looks bloody painful and will leave a bit of a scar. I’m surprised he hasn’t got a couple of black eyes. Anything broken?

He is developing black eyes now...

Flushing out a non working boiler / system today

House owner fella looked very familiar but to young to be the person I was thinking of although the last name fitted

Few clues around the house music paraphernalia so I asked him

He is the son of the former front man for the rock band Free
Bad company

Also fronted for queen as well

Mrs Mottie came back home 20 minutes after leaving for work this morning, telling me that a warning light was on warning of a puncture. She swapped cars and asked me to get it repaired at 'a garage'! Bloody cheek. :ROFLMAO: Anyway, I ran it up to the workshop and did it myself. There a separate thread on here if anyones interested in seeing how it should be done.

I popped over to the allotment to sprinkle a few slug pellets around my winter cabbage seedlings and check that my newly erected greenhouse was still standing. It was!

Just as I was leaving, I saw a cracker of a double rainbow over the allotment.

A neighbour was chucking out an old kitchen worktop so I nabbed it and fitted it in my shed at the allotment. Was going to do some more work on the plot but it p*ssed down so I just had a cuppa and sat and listened to Heart 70's. It was as good as camping. I didn’t even get round to cleaning it out and just slung everything back in when I’d emptied my flask and went home. I’m there to enjoy myself, not work my knackers off! :giggle:

Took my Golf up to a mates garage to get it on the ramp for a look underneath - it’s developed a clonking noise over the past couple of weeks. Turned out to be an anti roll bar link nut had come loose. Half a turn with a spanner sorted it.

The rollers came for my greenhouse door today so I went over the lottie and fitted them. Greenhouse now all complete. Just need to make up some benches and shelving for it.

Work. :( Only a morning session though so not too intrusive on my day! Took the DIL's Picasso in to get the kids to service it and I pre-mot'd it While it was there. It had a couple of weeping rear wheel cylinders which my supplier promised they could get to me by 3.00 if I ordered before 1.00 so I ordered them and went round my mates house to kill a few hours. I cycled round to his house on one of the bikes from the workshop. Unfortunately it was a thin racing type saddle and I was wearing tight jeans. Consequently my knackers 'clicked' with every revolution of the pedals like those Clackers from the seventies so I ended up riding with my legs splayed - I must have looked a right f'cking idiot! Anyway, at 2.30 my supplier phoned me and gave me some half-hearted story about their delivery missing my cylinders as the place they buy from 'forgot' to add them to the order. I had a moan about them wasting my time so they waived the cost of the service parts I’d bought earlier. Going to have to do it again next week sometime I suppose.

Met up with a couple of our dog friends who moved to Somerset but were up here visiting for the weekend. They are dog owners too so we all met up for a dog walk at Weald country park followed by tea and cakes afterwards. My Susie's niece has not long had a litter so our friend brought Susie's niece and her litter down to meet the rest of the gang. She only had a litter of four as she is small herself. Lots of Oohing and Aahing!

Susie greeting the new additions:

Things to do In Honiton on a Sunday evening.

Search results = 0

The chef at the Premier Inn had gone awol, managed to find a couple of run down pubs, our meal out ended up being a prawn sandwich and a packet of crisps from an M&S simply food attached to a nearby petrol station. Fortunately they managed to find someone to cook breakfast.

Monday morning at the Land Rover Experience was pretty good though.
