Have you been given IV antibiotics?

I've gotbtwo bags of fluid coming in.


Some of my tests are back Dr said I have an infection will wait till the rest of my tests are back and will proceed from there.

I don't believe so. They ate admitting me. I think I may just have a chest infection. No real answers yet

It's Pneumonia not nice but can be treated easily. Should have a 24 hour stay.

Yes, ofc it's enough to keep you in. Medics don't like giving antibiotics unless they really have to.

You can have IV antibiotics administered at home by a District Nurse, but (IME anyway) the initial treatment is done in the hospital so they can easily monitor your progress and you have easy access to other treatments like scans.

Wishing you all the very best for a speedy recovery. I've spent a couple of Christmases in hospital and it's not ideal!

Replaced all my under cupboard kitchen lights with LED strips. I must have replaced those 10w bulbs 250 times since I fitted them 20 years ago. No more!
