On the way there. She knew where she was going. :ROFLMAO:

Poor thing has started to lose her hearing over the last few months. Not long before she will be totally deaf at that rate. Good job we have been teaching her to respond to hand signs.

I've just watched a mother and daughter getting kicked out of Sainsbury's for stuffing their bags with meat.

I witnessed the same not long ago.

I went up Sainsburys to do the weekly shop last night around 8.30 - they are open until 10.00. There couldn't have been more than a dozen people in there. When I was at the very end of the first aisle, I heard a commotion near the entrance and the 5 foot nothing female security guard was saying "No, no, put them back". A 6’ male wearing a face mask with a laundry bag had practically cleared the meat shelf, slung the bag over his shoulder and was making his way out. He swatted her aside like a fly and went out with her being dragged along trying to restrain him. Only a few weeks ago the same security guard had tried to stop someone outside and had received a kicking for her troubles. I ran after them but before I’d got to the end of the aisle she came back in - I don’t think she followed him outside this time and I can’t blame her. What struck me though was that not one single member of staff went to her aide. When I got home and told Mrs Mottie what had happened, she said there was no point as apparently shoplifters are not prosecuted if their goods are under a certain amount. What’s it coming to these days?

Been over the allotment today linking up a third water butt to my two existing water butts to harvest all that lovely rain we've been getting. Potted up some more flower seedlings and made a hanging basket with some 'Tumbling Tom' tomato plants that I grew from seed. Planted a few rows of parsnips. There’s a strip of Local Authority owned land across the road and down a bit from me. This week, the tree blew down so it’s a bit bare. I've a good mind to chuck a load of my spare flower seedlings down to make it look nice - (someone up the other end of the street has done something similar and we could have a bit of a competition). Finally, I filled a compost bin with about 15 bags of horse shît that I picked up from the stables yesterday. That'll break down a treat with all the brandlings in there.

She's a working cocker. She'll be 11 years old in May.

Mottie, I have a new water butt, 750 litres.

Andy
I've got 3 x 50 gallon water butts joined up that are connected to the guttering on my shed and 1 x 50 gallon water butt connected to the gutter on my greenhouse plus a 25 gallon water butt inside my greenhouse that I fill manually from the others so that’s 1022 litres in total.

Just applied for an American Express preferred rewards Gold card and I have already been accepted. 20,000 bonus Avios points when you spend £3K in the first 3 months plus 4 free airport lounge visits. Going to use it to book a holiday with BA. £160 annual fee only payable from year 2 onwards but I’ll have had the holiday, had the lounge visits and would have cancelled it long before then. Can't reapply and get the rewards again within 2 years but if they are still running the promotion next year, Mrs Mottie can apply. ;)
Hah! Target hit yesterday, 20,000 bonus Amex points awarded to my account today. :giggle: Don’t know if I’m going to convert them to Avios points yet though.
