Looks sunny (if breezy , and slightly chilly) here , so I may go for a wander through the countryside in a bit.

I've got up just half hour ago and it's the first time had a proper nights sleep since got the cat. I finally gave in and shut her out the bedroom as she starts meowing at about 5am and keeps going every half hr.. I've tried to teach her what 'f-off' means but it's not working despite my best efforts

Gardening since 7.30am I did all the trimming and my wife mowed the big lawn.
Finished setting up the new spa as we couldn't repair the old one thanks to a mouse/mice getting into the shed and biting a number of small holes in it!
Re-arranged the patio furniture and gave the meadow strip it's monthly cut back. My wife potted some herbs and made up 2 more hanging baskets. Now we are going shopping.

Been out with the dog for a street walk, bought a seeded bloomer from the bakers and just had a bacon sarnie and a cup of tea. A little rest then off over the allotment to finally plant out my brassica seedlings and beans - runner and French.

This morning Ive been potting up some basil cuttings and seedlings.

3 weeks ago I toook some basil cuttings from the basil plant my wife bought from the supermarket -I stuck them in a little glass of water and they grew really healthy roots.

The plan is to take cuttings every few weeks or so to make new plants over the year.

Will probably wander aimlessly around the garage and garden this afternoon; might play a few rounds of "round the board" in the garage.....
