What have you been doing today?

I abandoned the job yesterday, it started bouncing down, and went for an early bath. Whilst in the bath, I thought I saw a flash of lightning, and heard thunder.

I'm making a second attempt to get the lock installed today - nearly there...
Are you sure it wasn't just a particularly powerful bath fart?

Spent the afternoon removing some conifer type bushes from the front garden. Planted 25 years ago but now as thick as my thigh at the base and up tight against the front wall. Was worried that they would cause damage to the wall. Chopped/sawed the branches off and literally filled the Golf to the roof. So far I've made two runs to the local tip. Might get away with just one more trip tomorrow but then I’ll have the main trunk/roots to get out of the ground.
It took two more trips. I just rammed everything into the Golf. Completely fùcked the roof lining but it’s just a dog carrier/workhorse so doesn’t really matter. Just these stumps to get out next.

Managed to dig out three of the four stumps today. Aching like a b'stard! Just the one nearest to the camera to do and that looks like it will be harder than the other three combined.

Had another go at that final stump. No joy yet - I think the roots are going straight down to the centre of the earth. Digging using a trowel to expose the roots so that I can chop them. I tried at one point to Jack it out of the ground using a trolley Jack. Still wouldn’t budge. Calling it a day for today - got a blister on my palm using the trowel. Was wearing gloves too.

I used to get sore patches using hand tools when I was working.

I still get rough patches in the middle of my palms and they just appear randomly.

Do you know what it is? Hand eczema/dermatitis?

How do you treat it?

My sister had similar and had some cream from the doctor.
