Theres a house not far from me called Passing Winds, its very nice too but I have a chuckle when I go past

Had a couple of enquiries from regulars about work, so ordered some hand sanitiser for the van and toolbox this morning

Resting today. (If I can take the boredom!).
Think I've pulled the ligaments in my knee overnight somehow. Hurts like hell to straighten it so Mrs C is insisting I rest it.
Currently wearing a knee support and taken 1 Ibuprofen.
Does anyone want to run a sweepstake on how long I will be able to keep still?

If it helps, Ibuleve or any of that ilk are very effective for knee pain/torn ligaments (supermarket own is a 3rd of the price). I use it when overdone the gardening

Where is a good place to invest at the moment ? Shares may be worth a punt after collapsing, I'm having a punt on silver, ISA's are worthless, as is any bank account, and with talk of negative interest rates, stocking up on canned food could be a wise move.

Precious metals are often a go to in troubled markets, but money can still be made in bear markets.

where did you go to invest in silver? -Ill be interested in looking that up.
Im guessing you havent got a stack of silver bars in your hallway

I looked into P2P lending like funding circle -interest rate is ok, but there is a risk of the company going bust.

Better for reducing inflammation than pain in my opinion.

Anyway, my resting lasted about 1 hour before I had to get off my backside and move around. Absolutely detest being confined to inactivity.
Took a stroll around the garden and did a little picking and pinching of weeds, grass shoots in the flower beds and now feel a lot better. Got to replace a wooden board that acts as a barrier to the lawn where I have to step down to my shed. Yes, the previous owner built a shed and sunk it 7" below ground level, so I have tostep into a small pit, just wide enough to swing the door open, before I can get inside. As it's at the front of the house, behind a large hedge, and the rest of the ground is a small lawn and a concrete/gravel driveway I can only presume he ran out of landfill to level that corner up.

That reminds me of the time Mrs Merton was talking to Noddy Holder. She told him there was a nightclub named after one of his mates (years before he got found out), as she had overheard her son Malcolm telling one of his friends that he wanted to take him up the Gary Glitter.

One and the same imo. Inflammation can cause pain.
