What have you bought today?

Just bought my first lot of seeds for the allotment in the £1 seed sale. Bargain, this lot would cost at around £25 without postage.

Today, I have purchased yet another stately home. A grand palace of decadence & a glorious statement that proves capitalism triumphs over marxism everyday.

It's called "Fook Hall" & joins my other grand properties "Sod Hall & Bugger Hall".

If you've got it, keep it in your pockets.

Another lot of seeds for the allotment. It's not cheap this allotment malarkey. Still, it's a pretty inexpensive hobby as hobbies go and it gets me out in the fresh air doing some exercise too. Should be a bumper year for crops on the new plot. :)

Although I might take it back as it does none of those things except probably sleeping but how do you tell?

Not today but over the past week I have bought a new router, (£179), a new router table, (£280), 4 x batteries, (£4), a new dovetail jig, (£114), and a new set of router cutters, (£45). Ouch!

I have a new pair of shoes to work in - and they're really going to need some dubbin' before they're worked in enough to call comfy.
I've been after a safety brogue for a few months now and they look so good i'll be gutted if i can't get them right before spring equinox.
Only £35. You can't get much better for that price, though.

Do you seriously use dubbin?

I bought some networking gear (different kind of router!) and will make a thread in computer hardware to talk about it.

Well, it's called 'Leather Polish' but it has similar qualities to dubbing, so i just call it that....cuz i'm old.

I reckon i'll need another tin at the rate these things are guzzling it down.

Just bought 600 litres of compost for the allotment beds. £36. Bargain. Gutted though as found out yesterday that B&Q sold off all their old 50 litre bags of compost at 50p a bag!

Bought some more work, too much of an area for me at my age so have got someone coming next week to get it on.:)

Cherry blossom dubbin is still available online. It's good stuff from the old days
I don't hold with all these newfangled things like plastic shoes and lager.

Tablets for the dog. 42 of then cost £140!
Did you buy directly from the vet? We have just started paying £14 a time for a 6 month prescription for our dogs worm/flea/tick/lungworm treatment. It cuts it down by half!

Well, I looked into it and.....result! £14 for a vet prescription and £47.45 for six months treatment (including 1st class tracked delivery) making it £61.45. Just less than half price. :)(y) We've been paying double for the past 8 years though!
