What have you bought today?

I was going to buy this;

But all the branches are out of stock. If it comes in at the higher price I'll give it a miss. Just wanted a second drill at a reasonable price.

At 50nm torque that's quite an underpowered drill, BUT, Screwfix sell the 5AH batteries for about 90 quid each so the drill is free.

My other drill is a Makita LXT so I am presuming the batteries with this one will fit my other one?

I have bought a shredder for my folks-in-law.

He went to his local Currys and they only had a display model.

So I went on their website and put "shredder" into the search box.

The cheapest shredder it came back with was nearly 300 sovs.

It was only when I put "paper shredder" that I was rewarded with the cheaper units.

The one he wanted was 40 quid.

Went on Amazon and the same model was marked down as "Black Friday Deal" and was a tenner less.

Result.

If it's 18 volt the batterys will fit. I'm sure I paid something like £70 quid for a single 3AH battery last week. That's a great deal.

A magnifying make-up mirror with light so that Mrs Mottie can put her slap on in one go without going back and forth to the bathroom to use my shaving mirror. :LOL:

I think you're wrong. Sometime in the next few months Mottie will be 'raving' about his new air fryer & wondering why everyone else isn't !
My mum has one. Mrs Motties mum has one. The old lady that lives opposite us has one. My divorced mate living alone in his bedsit has one. They are perfect for those that live alone but for cooking a meal for two people, I can’t see the point of them unless you get an oven size one. Wait! I have an oven size fan oven so that’ll do for us.

A rack of lamb from Waitrose with 20% off on 'sizzling Saturday'. "Would you like it French trimmed Sir"? "No, that’s fine thanks" "Oh please, I’m training to be a butcher and it will weigh less when it's trimmed" .. "Oh go on then". Did the rest of our shopping and it was all done. Cost us less than a tenner after the discount and it tasted bloody beautiful. :giggle:

Why have you used the jellyfish chopping board for red meat?

Just bought a pair of egg coddlers. Going to start coddling my eggs for breakfast.
