What have you bought today?

My OH has got something like that. It's for cooking fried eggs from the top I think.
It doesn't work very well and it makes a mess, but there is a washing machine I suppose cleans them.

Bought something for the two women in my life today. Some roses and a 'dine in' valentines meal for Mrs Mottie and a tube of cream for Susie's eye!

I tried buying cream (well, the tins of Dairy Manor evaporated milk, I like in my French Press coffee) in Lidl this morning and the shelf was bare. I there has been none for a few weeks, and my pantry stock is running low. A planned visitor from the 'deep south', has promised to check their local Lidl stock. Still using the French Press BTW..

Four Valentines greetings today :)

One of my firesticks was playing up which was all the excuse I needed to but a new one. A 4K Max. A little bit faster and a bit more memory.

Blimey - ordered it at 9.00 last night and it’s here already!

I finally ordered the tiles to cover the bathroom walls and have the happy task of finding the fun tiles to fill in a few spaces to break up the blueness.
Just found this on Amazon...

and i'm trying hard to justify puttiing it in a spot beneath the window. Isn't she fine?

Likewise, they do a large pack of denta stick chews, 30 in a pale blue pack, marked 'I love my...' really cheap, compared to the others, £2.50-ish. I grab a few of those, when they have them. As near as me and the dog can tell, they are identical to the expensive named brands.

I found my last reciept for the denta sticks - £1.49 per pack of 30..

Some saline solution to clean our dog's post-op eye scar. Bought from our vets - £9.29 for an unmarked 100ml bottle. Checked out the cost online when I got home and realised I’d paid waaaaaaaay over the top. Still, it’s for the dog so the price don't come into it.

A new genuine Apple battery for Mrs Motties old iPhone 8. £49 supplied, fitted and guaranteed at the Apple Store. I did mention that she's had it for over 5 years now and she should think about letting me get her a newer one but she wasn't having any of it. "It's just a phone and it does for me". I suppose I should be grateful that she's not the spendthrift type.

7 x 2.4m lengths of 3”x2” timber and a pick 'n' mix bag of screws as I’m going to make another bench for my greenhouse. Bought them together with two bags of sand and the B&Q teenager made it £13 something. He'd only scanned one of the lengths. I would never have got out with them so I asked him of he was sure he had the right price. He looked again and then realised and charged me for the six he'd missed. I asked him if he would have twigged when I wheeled the trolley through. "Probably not" he said. Bollux!
