A painter I worked with actually bought his wife an ironing board cover for ChristmasBought a new iron for Mrs Mottie as the other one went pop a few days ago. I collected it from Waitrose this morning and gave it to her when she got in from work. I nearly got a punch in the throat from her when I gave it to her and said in my best northern accent "I'll not have any wife o' mine go without the proper tools t' do her job properly".
Soppy old romantic.A painter I worked with actually bought his wife an ironing board cover for Christmas
Mrs Mottie has said before that she would like a laundry room. Washing, drying and ironing. She'd be in her element. Seriously!with a straight face he showed me his wifes "Ironing Room"
You take the Mick (polar Bear murdering), but we can't just carry on regardless.Well planet saviours, other countries are selling un-pc fruit and giving you plastic bags to take it home in.

Just because others are doing it, doesn't give us carte blanche to go on wasting and polluting.
Don't you agree with being less wasteful?
Buying loose fruit does not mean buying bagless. Paper bags are much better because everyone can recycle paper, but plastic bags, films and wraps are not so convenient to recycle.
Plastic bottles can give way to glass. Put a deposit on them and kids would become litter pickers for the community, keen to cash in.
Carrier bags can be paper too.
If we put our minds to it, we can virtually eliminate plastic, if not completely eradicate it as a form of packaging. There are plastic alternatives that are plant based that break down in the soil
We need to be kinder to our world. There are more and more people in it and unless we change our ways we won't have a world.
The trouble is, if there's money to be made, many have the mindset of "Well, me and my immediate family are not going to be here in 100 years, so I don't care what happens after I've gone."
But we need to start caring now.
I refuse to consider the concept of individuality, if I'm the only one doing so.So until the government actually stops being hypocritical and acting AGAINST the environment I don't give a to$$ about it either.
Satsumas are horrible, though. Almost no flavour.
