We were looking for something smaller than a 24inch Smart TV, for the kitchen, due to space limitations, to replace an old dumb set, but struggled to find any smaller smarts. Decided, because the modern TV's were wider/less high a 24 would fit, and so bought one, and it did - fit that is.

When setting it up, we found it insisted on signing up for Roku, never seen that before, or any need to sign up for anything, before you could even use a TV?

I'm afraid yes, because it's a roku TV. It's part of the name. They're a subscription service that makes tvs that use their service. It's like buying an Alexa and getting upset when it asks you to set up an Amazon account.

It seems to allow all the usual live off-air channels, plus the usual catchups, and to add more. The Roku seems free, with free programs/films, but some are subscription only. It says something about working with Alexa, which I need to investigate.

To charge Apple devices?

I don't really trust cheap power suppliers especially the fast charging ones. How much was this one purchased for?
£25. It's a Gallium Nitride (GaN) charger. Gets good reviews. I wouldn’t say it was particularly cheap.

Yes, get a phone that's already Supervooc, otherwise you'll just be killing the battery not designed for fast charging.
It’s not for a phone. It’s for my three battery drone charging hub. This one. It’s supposed to support fast charging.

Edit: I think it’s too powerful for that - it won’t work using the USB C fast-charge outputs, only he 20W USB A output! The fast-charge output works on my iPad, iPhone and other devices though. It's going back!
