Mmmm, is this a wind up?
I hope not. It's in the "Your Projects" section and a well documented process of initial idea to a Grand Design would make an interesting read.

I can just hear Kevin McCloud narrating a new espisode of Grand Designs:

"People thought Oker was trolling when he designed this bijou seafront shipping container habitat..."

Cheapest land in se is woodland, used to be able to get a small bit of wood for 10k.
Obvs no planning permission to build anything, but you might be able to hide off the grid in a fancy tent. Although you might freeze in winter.

1.5 acres of woodland in Suffolk for about £22k. But i think the forestry commission have rights to do things.... Not really looked intro it. I think no public rights of way though.

Or a nice log cabin on the docks at Felixstowe.

I would like to get the overview about the prices. So, please, your personal experiences if any. For example:

1) gas: 30 metres (from the road to my property), The location: XXX, It cost me: £XXX

2) drinking water: 20 metres (from the road to my property), The location: XXX, It cost me: £XXX

3) sewage: 20 metres (from the road to my property), The location: XXX, It cost me: £XXX

4) electricity: 40 metres (from the road to my property), The location: XXX, It cost me: £XXX

and
5) the plot (freehold, only): XXX metres by XXX metres, I bought it with no permission to build house but it was in a village among other houses, so I got the permission easily later (it took XXX months), The location: XXX, It cost me: £XXX

Look for land andpand on Rightmove like everybody else.

As for utilities, meaningless question as many rural areas don't have gas or sewerage, and not all roads will have water either.

you'd be better off buying something already connected that's dilapidated and renovating.

Your concrete example of your own experience, if any, please.
(Otherwise, write into other forums. Not here. Thank you for the understanding.)
