Where to buy bed, carpet and sofa?

Hi all

I have recently bought my first house and wondered if anyone could advise me on the best places to look for and possibly purchase a bed, carpet and sofa.

Looking for good value for money and reliable products. Nothing too high-end.

It's a pretty difficult question to answer, considering asking to deliver and fit carpet/furniture over a long distance would remove any discount you might find.

Your best bet is to go to different local places, compare prices, get them competing for the business.

Go to Croydinistan, they have them on almost every street corner., second hand though.Lovely place (NOT).Most retail parks will have a DFS, carpetright or similar, go & try before you buy.

If you want a sofa, I can heartily recommend Harveys over DFS.
We've had one from each (at exactly the same pricepoint) and the Harveys one is miles better build quality.

We had one just like this, but no recliners, for £399.
