Well now its cheap as Pete's hit the nail on the head.

OK agree yet again Pete, two men on a flush would be handy, Only had a pump for just over a month so still green in that department ;)

Doing an Agile here, but I would charge around £2200 + VAT for a bbu out etc and combi in ;)

 I dont charge VAT

Craig, I'd love to know how any installer can get away with not being VAT registered. Even as a one man band my materials/parts turnover is higher than the VAT threshold before making any money

Don't reply on here, e-mail me ;)

Gasyou. Dave we all have our own prefrences regards boilers.I fit several makes. But Can you give me a good enough reason why valiant is better than baxi`s top selling 105he which is 250 quid cheaper, basically same components baxi more installer friendly parts cheaper and easier to diagnose and reliabilty is on a par, baxi don`t have a seal problem though,
Yes the barcelona and bahama where a pile of ****e.

Better build quality, better reliability, not having to wait over 5 working days for an engineer call out under warranty, service engineers who know how to fix them, (no disrespect to Baxpoti, Poxi, Baxmax etc who can diagnose and repair them) I cant think of a simpler boiler to work on than the ecotec plus 600 & 800 series (not the 400 series though), Vaillant don't have to 'phone you 3 or 4 times a week to see if you will fit their boilers like Baxi do me, Vaillant don't have to offer £200 cashback to entice installers, not having new customers call me with faulty 105, SE or HE saying can you fix my boiler, it is under warranty but I am not ever having Baxi back in my house again

Need I go on?

I know I am biased towards Vaillant and if they let me down I would be the first to post on here slagging them off.

I am a dinosaur when it comes to customer service and expect my boiler suppliers to treat me and my customers accordingly if they want my business.

Vaillant have a couple of group service (glow worm donkey's) that have been sent to repair Vaillants in my area and their customer service attitude is as crap as glow worm boilers. I have heard about these to muppetts and have told Vaillant that if I ever get any warranty calls I will only accept my local proper Vaillant agent handling the call, if they send either of the 2 muppetts I will no longer fit their boilers.

We have a major meeting arranged soon to sort the problem out with their high ups visiting me to assure me of what I want. I can't see Baxi doing the same to keep someones custom.

No offence to anyone, just my personal ramblings

Just tried Dave, something wrong with my E-mail Jobbie.

Will try again later if not Ill get your mobi off your site and mither you while Im playing golf tomorrow pm ;)

Dave if you don`t want to be vat registered it`s quite easy get every second customer to make check out to your supplier or get them to do 2 cheques then only declare the labour ok you lose the points from plumbcentre but it`s swings and roundabouts . Where i do my work 90% of people pay in cash even when it`s thousands, working class town with old ideals so it makes it easy to do cash tickets also two of us work together on big stuff so we split mats bills

What is your waranty call out rate then if you are having to complain about who comes out,, We have fitted close on 300 baxi E/HE in the past 5 and a bit years and called them out less than half a dozen times under warranty. The 200 quid cash back is for the latest 40kw range, Personally don`t get pestered by ay manufacturer because suppliers no i would tell them to pi#s off and i leave my name off any correspondece to makers that i don`t have to give

As far as i am aware the latest gloworms except for not havin the diagostic kit on them are rebadged vaillants so what makes them so bad

Over the last 2 years at 1 to 2 boilers per week I have had 1 call and that was due to the faulty burner seal on the ecotec. previous to that I have had 2 calls on the ecomax pro, which was a crap boiler hence why it is now badged as a glow worm hxi.

Comparing this to when I used to fit Baxis, yes I did if you can beleive it  I had no problems with their solo 3 but when I fitted their HE130 I only fitted 3 and all three went down continuously with the same faults and heat team engineers were absolutely useless, couldn't fix them in the end Baxi replaced. heat team engineers said that if no fault code displayed how could they know how to fix, even if the boiler was not working correctly.

I've had this discussion with Baxpoti before and it turns out that I have been unlucky with cr*p engineers in my area. If i'd had him or other baxi engineers on here then no doubt I might still be fitting them. Same old point, how does one regain trust and confidence?

Around here Baxi only seem to be fitted in new build where developers are obviously getting ridiculous rebate support to fit them
