Thank you for your help and no, there is no dimmer … I’ll go to my son’s today and have as look at what I can see in the loft …

Probably, this one from Screwyfix will do the job.

Aurora 12V Constant Voltage LED Driver 25W (4338T)

But I still advise swopping the lot for new GU10 mains downlights. leave the fan light with its halogen lamp, and use the others as spares. When they've all died then swop out the fan/light.

Been to the house to have a look in the loft.

The 3 x 12v LED & 1 x Halogen still go out a few seconds after switching on.

The extractor fan continues running until switched off.

It is a MM31392 Micromark transformer

Q3. On the assumption the transformer is switched on from the wall plate, would it just be a matter of changing the wires over to the SFix LED Driver mentioned above?

Q4. Do you expect there’s enough room on the output end for attaching all 4 cables if they are normally used for lightweight LED strips?

I happen to have got 3 GU10 fittings and 3 bulbs but there seems to be more work needed and it would do away with the light in the fan over the shower

Yes

I doubt it. You'd probably only get one cable in. You'd need a smallish junction box.

Its a fallback plan!
