Yes - exactly.

Exact details still to be worked out - I'm still at the design stage. Location will probably be a cupboard though - i.e. accessible for inspection and maintenance.

I would always use 1.5mm its mechanically stronger and on 6A circuits there won't be any problems with loft insulation.

1.0mm² is still rated above 6A when totally enclosed in insulation !
