Why all the fuss about Rishi's wife?

Strange that NO government has sought to change the tax laws for, the odd few years, decades, centuries(?) May it be, just possibly, that they understand the system better than certain forum whiners?
Non sequitur

I see the Filly’s and Motties are out in force supporting the corrupt right wing populist govt they voted for.

utter nonsense from mottie, avoiding the issue that the tax system has been wrongfully designed to allow the richest inhabitants to dodge taxes.

you think people shouldn't follow the laws of the land John?

I see it’s No10 that has been briefing the media against Sunak.

Yup - Filly and Mottie are whining about something that has been instigated by their hero Buffoon :D

johnson is trying to beat off competition from a politician less repellent than himself.

You'll notice his (diminishing) band of supporters like to say "we can't sack the dishonest, lying, incompetent crook. There's no-one else who could possibly do the job."

Makes sense,

NI increase that Boris wanted to stop or delay.
Delays announcing the new energy strategy by Sunak, arguments over funding.
Relief on energy bills watered down/reduced by Sunak.

He's hardly Mr Popular.

You'd better ask mottie how many he's got.

It's interesting how the people opposed to fair taxation search wildly for irrelevant nonsense in the hope that they might make their position look sensible.

none of these have any bearing on the fact that the UK has carefully constructed a tax system that allows rich people, living in the UK, to dodge tax on their wealth, income and inheritances.

What exactly constitutes "fair taxation" in your bitter & twisted little mind JohnD'ski???

Should the state own everything & the people own nothing?

Should JohnD'ski & his mates choose who pays & who retires to their Dacha at the weekends?

The system is corrupt JohnD'ski, but the system works much better than anything your bitter & twisted mates can dream up from within the pages of your bible 'Das Kapital'.

I know the system works, 'cos everyone in the whole wide world wants to come & live in it. I find it VERY strange that the JohnD'skis & his bitter & twisted comrades have never flocked to their utopian dream, the places where their policies have failed.

I gave more than £40k away to just causes last tax year.

JohnD'ski thinks that I'm a dirty capitalist B@$t@rD for having $40k to give away.

He & his bitter & twisted mates would want me to live the life of a pauper. They want to reduce us all to the lives they lead.

I'm sorry for being wealthy JohnD'ski, I don't know why I am, I'm sure that for every £pound I earned you lost £5 in the process.

I am the reason why your life is miserable. I have all of this money because I took it off of you while you weren't looking. I'm "living the dream" while you're bury'ing your head in the bitterness of your perceived failure.

Are you so unhappy in your life JohnD'ski that you want everyone else to be equally as unhappy as you?

10% of the population pay more than 50% of the taxes. Some would like them to pay even more. A better outcome now that we are out of the EU would be to require these offshore IT companies to establish local independent subsidiaries, paying the proper local taxes. As is the case if you want to import IT services or IP to India. Then Infosys (the source of her wealth) would be paying a bigger contribution.

As it stands, she very much appears to be a non-dom. Providing she complies with the rules, I don't see an issue. Its Just Sir K, trying to smear mud on the guy who will likely beat him at the next General Election. Though with Sir Ks current popularity, that might well be Bojo.

The richest 10% of the population own more than 50% of the wealth, and get more than 50% of the income.

The richest 1% own 230 times as much as the poorest 10%.

So how much of the tax should they pay?

You seem to be whining that it is unfair.

Do you agree that the richest inhabitants should be allowed to dodge tax?

Oh, do you think so?

Where does she live?

Where does she own a home?

Where do her children go to school?

Where does her husband work?

Where does she go on holiday?

Citizenship is irrelevant.
