Excitement & golf ?
Yes, people going to university are all planning to be footballers. And how many of them went to uni ?Not as many, as there weren't as many bogus courses. I wasn't going to pay to carry on at school, so I got an apprenticeship in a field that would be worthwhile (not plumbing, never done plumbing). Now all people want is a job with little effort, they see these shows on TV, Essex chav, Chelsea Chav et etc, and want to be like them, or a footballer on half a million quid a month. No harm in dreaming, but do they realise how many failed footballers there are ? Get a trade, a real trade. People will always need electricians, brickies, plasterers, plumbers, roofers. When the money runs out, people aren't going to make a manicure a priority if the roofs leaking (or they shouldn't).
Are they ? A lot will be disappointed . You don't half come out with some sh!t.Yes, people going to university are all planning to be footballers.
Unlike the older generation who just got theirs for free.

They're not buying a social life, fun, parties, whatever. They're buying an education.
Which they have renamed as universities. College, poly, uni, they all serve a purpose and can be an asset to those using them, if they don't take the p!ss. Sadly, further education just seems to be wasted on some, and as nearly always happens, the good get tarred with the same brush.you either took a course at a polytechnic,
If I couldn't afford to, I didn't.Maybe you should stop going shopping, or going on holidays, or eating out
You're the one who started ranting about footballers on a thread about uni students. Or did you forget that already. Are they ? A lot will be disappointed . You don't half come out with some sh!t.
It’s the way of the big bad world. They’re adults, they should be paying rent and buying food for themselves anyway unless mummy and daddy are keeping them at home for free in which case mummy and daddy will be paying for their rent and food at uni. What? They pay rent to live there, the have to buy food.
Pay it off in full? No, but they're carrying the debt and will be paying it back for a long time.
Unlike the older generation who just got theirs for free. Those old fogies really had it easy.
I did mention footballers, I didn't say anything about them going to uni, that was you, and you stated people at uni are all planning to be footballers, a statement so bizarre , you put an "Er what ?" emoji after it. You don't half come out with some sh!t.You're the one who started ranting about footballers on a thread about uni students. Or did you forget that already.
Instead of nowdays where the bottom 5-10% of academic achievers attend. Just puts off work for another 4-5 years. But, then back in the day only the top 5-10% of academic achievers went to university.
