Widespread rioting

it is what happens when people feel disenfranchised,
4.1m people vote for reform and got 5 MP's
9.6m voted for labour and got 411 MP's
Some country eh!, voting Reform gets 1/35th the representation of a looney left labour voter, how is that fair or just?

No wonder people are rioting

and for what its worth, I didn't vote reform and condem the riots, but I can see why its happening
Still not a reason to riot in my book.

And I have stood up and said that PR should happen. If people support Reform, they should be represented properly. But its a hell of a thought if the riots are what they stand for.

As to being represented properly, they have Farage !!! 1 of the most dangerous people of our times.

Showing your bias calling Labour the looney left, when they appear to be doing a more adult and responsible job than the last lot, after only weeks too.

Attempted murder, surely?
Thing that struck me about it is what a great thing to stoke as there is likely to be some local support but maybe not the ones that want to burn places down. That has I think just happened in some of the others. 0 migrants.

Report on one rioter. Think it was some sort of community centre. Left with a PC screen so is being done for looting. Some of them are stupid - LOL no one would notice?

This in Belfast. I wonder if they'll be so true to their convictions as to refuse help from a 'P***' doctor/surgeon (which to these folk will be anyone who's not white) if their life depends on it. MMmmm, I wonder.

Scum breeding scum. So sad.

Thank feck I say. Multiple versions of Farage and 30p Lee in the HoP, is that really what folk want?
As much as I really dont want them there, if that is what the electorate votes for, it ought to be represented so.

It has always been that way with FPTP.

I don't ever remember the Liberals or Greens burning cars and buildings, there is absolutely no excuse for it.

Lots of people here can see through the smoke and mirrors, not much more to say really other than it's just propaganda from populists playing the game to get money & power. My biggest concern is that this naive or stuck-in-the-past government (take your pick as to which) won't be up to the challenge and the whole episode will see a big shift in British public discussion that legitimises all the far right nonsense, including the conspiracies, hatred and xenophobia, resulting in reality getting deprioritised in discussion on talk shows and documentaries.

Agree i didn't vote reform either but indeed the above stats have given a very skewed result of representation. I think Starmer ignoring or smearing everyone protesting as an extreme right winger is dangerous. Wether he likes it or not there is a growing frustration in this country that immigrants are pioritised.

Even the people around me who before i always regarded as very liberal concur the boat situation and hotels etc is shameful, when we have so many homeless already.

And turning what was about the murder of 3 poor little girls into primary focus offering protection to an other (religious) group, is also a mistake.
100% agree the rioters should all be held to account harming or fighting police cannot be tolerated.
However i do believe primary focus should be on what we are doing going forward to stop and prevent this dreadful incident for the 3 little girls plus others happening again. These attacks on innocent members of the public i mean. We need to see the government taking a stand there too.

And what are we doing to show we prioritise British public giving them basic facilities such as NHS dentists and doctors etc. No it's that bad. I honestly believe if our facilities weren't so overrun and understaffed this situation may not be percieved as it is. There is alot of frustration and it's finding its way via the most obvious path. (I am talking about justifiying public frustration not those thugs rioting).
