You may find you are paying someone elses gas bill your tariff may be paying off the last owners gas bill, not the first i have come across in fact i find this a very common problem.

I wonder if British Gas still get mocked for insisting on a room thermostat on their installations!

The regulations require a room stat and TRVs!

Sorry, I'm not familiar with the latest regulations, but I seem to remember asking my installer (in 1994) why he didn't fit a a room thermostat and he said it wasn't necessary and couldn't understand why BG insisted on doing it. Obviously gas was a lot cheaper then!

Global warming was not a political issue then.

Current regulations from about 2005 require a lot of energy saving devices.

Its always been good practice to fit a room stat! Doesn't say much for your 1994 installer!

What was you usage in the summer quarter like -cost or kWH?
