Would Ireland leave the EU in a free trade deal with us?

There sems to be a lot of foreign fifth columnists in this thread along with the usual anti-brexit trolls.

I'm afraid your comment is full of intellectual contradictions.
The main UK press report that the RN Fisheries Protection Squadron will be carrying out their normal, stated procedures of policing the UK's coastal waters, except they phrase it as gunboats armed with machine guns and canons, naval warships, seizing French fishing boats, etc. They have not declared war, contrary to some peoples' understanding.
Fifth columnists are usually of the same nationality, and operate within the state that they are undermining.
It's adopted from a Spanish concept.
Trolls come in all forms. Being an anti-Brexit does not equate with being a troll.

Brexit = putting a customs border inside the United Kingdom
Brexit = putting trade barriers between the United Kingdom and its largest and nearest trade partner

which side are you on?....come on put your money where your mouth is and lets hear whether you want economic damage to the UK or not

then we can see if you are a traitor or a patriot

Err Geographically NI is part of the island of Ireland.

Republic of Ireland is in the EU with frictionless access to worlds biggest customs union

NI stays in EU regulatory jurisdiction and aligned to Single Market for goods.
Err N. Ireland is part if the British Isles.
Only 15% of exports go to Irish Republic, most trade is with GB any barriers to that trade will be blamed on the EU.

you mean brexiteers will blame the EU......... because brexiteers arent adult enough to take responsibility for their actions.

What is your point?

The point is that when you said

******** interests would be best served by recognising that Geographically ********* is part of ******** and join some sort of free trade arrangement with the ********** .

You were explaining why NI should be in a close and mutually beneficial relationship with RoI, and why UK should be in a close and mutually beneficial relationship with the rest of Eufope.

Rah! Britain uber alles! Foreign trolls! Sabateurs! :D:rolleyes:

Cute.

Its all going to plan this disaster capitalism.

The book also foresaw a backlash against the footloose, cosmopolitan elites that digital technology would help create. The economy’s “losers”, as Rees-Mogg and Davidson called them, who “do not excel in problem-solving or possess globally marketable skills”, would turn to nationalism and bitter nostalgia. They would “seek to thwart the movement of capital and people across borders”.

Poor Brexxers sticking two fingers up at the London Elites by giving the same elites even more power over them.

Or do you think that's never been a worry for the EU?

I don't think the EU is worried at all. They hold all the cards. Mrs May thought she was holding the cards, but it turns out that they have a much better hand and are more experienced poker players, and they can also afford to "lose", whereas we can't.
