Can he not.....
HE cannot CALL a general election - he can ASK for one.

What do you know about the fixed parliament act.
That it requires 66% of MPS to vote for an election before the end of the fixed term.
What do you know about words written in their correct meaning, context and order?

Let's see tomorrow.....
Ok.

There will be no GE before Brexit is sorted.

Bozzas humiliation will be complete around early to mid October when he has to go begging the EU for an extension.

Bozza may grovel for a deal before then to spare him such a pitiful kicking.

Let's see shall we. You won't need to wait long

Could Boris call a motion of no confidence in himself.
Not sure. Why would he? What would be the point? Why not just resign?

Even if he can and did, that would not be CALLING an election (like before the fixed term) would it?

If he did Jeremy and Co would have to vote against the no confidence. Would they not. Or vote along side him.

Otherwise a GE

Ah. Just looked at the news and seen that Johnson is ASKING for someone to propose a motion of no confidence in HIS Government so that he CAN have a general election.

Also, that the Supreme Court was wrong. Is that possible?

What a pitiful specimen.

What about the Conservative MPs.

Do they want an election? Would they vote for the motion of no confidence?

He also seems remarkably confident that we'll be leaving the eu on the 31st Oct. If there's a vote of no confidence (from any quarter) and he refuses to resign, an election can be triggered within 14 days, the way the polls are shifting toward leave, the other parties are in a right old quandary, they don't want an election before 31st oct, the longer it's left the more the vote will shift toward leave.

Looks like it's a win win for Boris.
