The old Dublin dodge is back.
Boris's sea border is in danger of sinking.
https://www.independent.ie/world-ne...ay-destinations-after-500-fines-40060396.html
The EU border can prevent someone from importing British soil from one part of the British isles to another but allows people with potentially deadly diseases to get back into Britain without having to quarantine.

Boris needs to get the border back where it belongs.

History proves that to be untrue.

2019 WA Boris caved in
2020 trade deal Boris caved in
I agree Boris has been a very naughty boy but he has a chance to redeem himself.
It has only been 38 days since January the 1st and this could be the second crisis involving this border.
This situation is only going to get worse as the EU and UK diverge regulation wise, I heard that if the security situation deteriorates the EU will demand their own armed guards to protect their personnel overseeing the enforcement of this protocol.
The idea of armed foreigners on Unionist soil will only inflame an already tense situation.

If Boris manages to achieve the Unification of Ireland, there'll be one less border.
Do you believe in unicorns or maybe leprechauns.
The only way Ireland will be unified is by the RoI rejoining the UK.
There is no way people in N.I. would want to join the Irish Republic.
Any attempt to force the issue would probably result in an Ulster separatist movement which would be disastrous for the Irish Republic.

NI will be United by common trading arrangements.

NI and Ireland are now both in the same regulatory jurisdiction.

Both have far less trade barriers trading with each other and with EU than UK.

Are you being serious.
Most of N.I. trade is with the UK which has a population of 65 million.
The Irish Republic has a population of around 4 million.
How is exchanging one market of 65million for a market of 4 million help anyone.

What will be the issue that will finally bring down the EU.
Will it be fishing .
Or maybe need the Russians to sort the organ grinder Germany and it's monkey the RoI.

Thats not what is happening.

NI has a frictionless marketplace of 450 million

UK now has a frictionless marketplace that is smaller than the UK

You still don't get it do you, under this protocol N. I. remains part of the EU and subject to a foreign customs code, subject to a foreign court and subject to EU laws and regulations even though N.I.no longer has any democratic representation in the EU parliament.
The American revolution started because Americans were subject to British laws and taxes yet were denied representation in the British Parliament.
The people of N.I. aren't even classed as citizens of the EU, they are subjects.
