Land mark victory for British motor sport

The dept of trans sport has reached the decision to exempt the UK from the controversial
EU ( French / scoundrels ? )

“Vnuk” motor insurance laws

the implications for UK motor sport would have been to drive the costs of motor sport for some to unsustainable levels

Just some more Brexit scaremongering

not really.

since the Vnuk court ruling in 2014 the UK has had to review how the case may impact domestic law.

I see no proof that the UK we’re going to make changes to MID when we were an EU member.

It seems like more Tory govt brexit propaganda.

Never seen an empty shelf in a supermarket near me.

I certainly have

recently in Aldi they have taken to filling the shelves at about mid-height, leaving the top one empty (normally holds replenishing boxes) and putting cardboard advertising displays to make any empty shelves look full.

Tesco has not done this yet, but has gaps.

the dept of transport reached a decision to exempt the UK from the controversial European Vnuk
Motor insurance laws

the proposed laws were introduced by the EU in 2014 and were to treat any motoring accident on private land in the same regard as regular road traffic accident

which requires relevant insurance and can lead to prosecutions

the requirement was to have huge implications for UK motor sport from go karting all the way up to top tier events

the clarification from the DoT has been seen as a significant victory for motor racing as a whole in the UK

article spring 2021 kit car magazine

nowt to do with propaganda

Self built cars and specials are virtually impossible to build in the EU

Good news. I’m no longer at risk of breaking the law by not insuring my ride on mower.
