I know a few racist
Its a significant read and only 15 months old so no excuse for not remembering she signed it. Probably just one of many letters constructed by back room staff for senior ministers which are the just 'browsed' prior to signing.
Bigger worry is that minister/PM correspondence is being conveniently 'leaked' to the newspapers.

I don't know any people who hate foreigners either, certainly none in my circle of friends and colleagues. If any of them think unsavoury or racist thoughts I will never know, they certainly don't air them in public. Mind you, the label 'racist' is not so clearly defined anymore - seems that it gets thrown about very readily these days.

I think it's great. I doubt we would know half as much as we should about our 'leaders' otherwise.

Leakers serve a purpose in this case. The facts were in the public domain and it served the public good.
There needs to be more clearly defined support and immunity for leakers both public and private.

No, not selective circles. Regarding my friends, it's just a case of like-minded people who are long time friends. Why would I want to be friends with someone who is an out and out racist?
No, I do not deal with customers. Strange to you'd think customers would sit there and rant about foreigners to me anyway.

In all honesty, I doubt most people on here would say as much as they do on here in real life. Being anonymous makes things a lot easier to rant, I don't think that's being 'ordinary'.
As I said, I don't know anyone who hates foreigners. If they think it, they certainly don't share it - to me anyway.
