Another broken Tory promise.

Another record breaking year for mass immigration, 330,000 net, that even beats Blair's record.
We were promised that immigration would be reduced to 10's of thousands annually, these clowns have had over 5 years to sort this problem out yet the problem has only got worse.
The Tories must have been really desperate to get into power to have made such rash claims about an issue over which they have absolutely no control.
With the state that the EU is in economically didn't it ever occur to them that if the UK economy started to pick up that it would become an even bigger magnet to Europes ten's of millions of unemployed.

You are not quite right; Cameron promised to reduce net immigration.

As he has no control over immigration or emigration it was just a stupid thing to say.

Pay 330,000 of us to bugger off and he will have achieved zero net immigration.

Whilst on the subject of broken tory promises, wasn't the Aid to India meant to end this year?
We now hear that Ethiopia - yes Ethiopia - is launching a £3M space programme

Big business wants cheapo labour. The Tory press won't say boo. Immigration will continue. The migrant lovers don't live amongst the migrants. Their children go to private schools. Big business loves migrants.

Well you had your chance. You should have voted for UKIP. We could have been out of the EU by now and free to run our country for OUR benefit.

Re. India and foreign aid, I heard on the news today that India is likely to become the world's third biggest economy. Well, at least we can be proud that we contributed to her rise in power. I wonder where we'll be in the financial rankings by then!

You should have voted for proportional representation when you had the chance. Now 25% of voters voted the Tories in and they are rapidly proving a disaster.

Jesus Christ, I can't believe I am saying this, but I agree with Joe.

Everyone laughed at the lib dems when they pushed for the referendum but those chickens have come home to roost now.

Damn. Had we voted Labour, large numbers would have left for better countries. Oh well. :)

Problem is desperate people desperate measures. That means more burglaries, more thefts, higher crime. Richer areas get better protection because they can afford it, pooper areas are left to fend for themselves. It's not really worth having valuables living in city areas, given where I live I expect to be burglarised at least once within the next five years, the only thing that has made a difference to me psychologically is to have very little worth stealing.

That's another annoying Americanism: 'burglarised'. What nonsensical tautology. The word is 'burgled'. We're losing our national identity - one way or another!

No, Joe isn't right - not exactly. As I understand, what was on offer several years ago was not true proportional representation. There have, more recently, been suggestions of offering the proper PR alternative and I think, should our 'democratic' system put it to the vote, it may well be carried. I do hope so.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh. You just said burglarised. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh. We're doomed, doomed, doomed.

I live in a semi rural area. I don't think we have crime. I did once live in Luton. A hell hole. The asians were nice. The white chavs, and some of the east europeans were not.

Surely it means an end to being able to vote for an MP and hence you get people who toady to the party leaders, and few mavericks. We need the latter, people who fight by conviction. And we need to be able to kick out corrupt ones.

I disagree. First past the post results in the country swinging backwards and forwards between the two 'main parties'. Currently, neither are worth their salt in my opinion.

It would also solve the disgraceful situation where nearly 4 million people vote for UKIP and get one MP. The same, I suppose, applies to the Green party (although they're all nutters, of course! :ROFLMAO:)
