Anyone scared of heights?

Every job i go on im scared of heights untill ive been up it for about 5 mins.for me its mainly getting on and off the ladders at the top of the scaffold.
Also if the scaffolders have left me a nice big gap between the wall and the 1st board that i can fit down it makes me a bit nervy,i tend to have the odd scaff board in the van nowadays to combat this.

"Heights" per se don't scare me I've climbed and abseiled enough things to prove this.

However going up a ladder to gutter level on the house is hard, mainly the transition from the ladder to roof or vice versa, I also get the same feeling when starting an abseil or finishing a climb I guess it's the point at which you are the most exposed and least protected.

I am totally annoyed with what happens to me. I can walk around a roof even along a ridge but when walking on Snowdons narrow path with a drop on one side I am very unsure of myself. Spoiled it for me. Do you think hypnosis would help? or a pair of blinkers?
